Our belief is that God brings you through the front doors of a church building. God has also blessed you with the spiritual gifts and passions which are important to a community of faith. Here at First Christian Church of DeLand, we are known as a place where people can wrestle with the hard realities about life and faith. We strive to be a place of relevance, a place where authentic spiritual conversations can safely occur, and a place to heal from doctrine of organized religion. We draw wisdom from Holy Scripture; we receive spiritual nurture every week from the sacred act of Communion; and we pray together trusting that God willingly receives our joys and concerns. Believing that all persons are created and dearly loved by God, we gather together to live, learn and practice loving God, others and ourselves.
